This is a respond to a previously asked question about the A' Design Award and Competition. The full list of frequently asked questions can be accessed here.

#235: What is the difference between submission and nomination?

Each time you upload an entry to A' Design Award & Competition website, it counts as a single submission. Submissions are further checked and filtered by preliminary jury members for their validity to the competition. Submissions are not automatically nominated and only if a submission is marked as Approved, it could be further Nominated for the award. Only nominated entries will be checked by a panel of jury members and be evaluated in further details, scored and ranked. Thus to take active participation in the competition, one needs to first submit and then nominate a design. Submissions are free, however nominations i.e. to take a submission to the next step is not free and is subject to a nomination processing fee as given in the dates and fees section. From this perspective submissions could be considered as nomination drafts, where you could freely edit and update the design before you feel it is ready for nomination.
