About Daeki Shim, Hyojun Shim : ******Daeki Shim received a bachelor’s degree in graphic design at the University of the Arts London (UAL), Central Saint Martins (CSM), and a master’s degree in anthropology at the University of London, University College London (UCL). As the co-founder of graphic design studio DAEKI & JUN(DAandCompany), Shim has been recognized for his work and has won and selected more than 100 times at international design awards and biennales. Most notably, he won the Grand Prix at the 2017 Red Dot Design Award, the Judge’s Choice Award at the 2017 Society of Typographic Arts (STA) in Chicago, and the Platinum & Gold Awards at the Graphis Annual in 2016 and 2017. Shim currently teaches graphic design at the Sejong University, Dongduk Women’s University, and Hongik University. He is also an adjunct professor for Visual Communication Design program at the Seoul National University of Science and Technology. Shim has served as an exhibition curator at the ‹Typojanchi 2015: International Typography Biennale›, ‹Typojanchi 2017: International Typography Biennale›, ‹Seoul Design Brand: Communication Tools›, and more. Since 2017, he has been in charge of exhibition planning affairs as the Director of External Exhibitions at the Korean Society of Typography (KST). Also, Shim has served as a judge at multiple international awards and events, including the Graphis Annual, and Moscow Global Biennale of Graphic Design Golden Bee. ******Hyojun Shim received a bachelor’s degree in graphic design at the University of the Arts London (UAL), Central Saint Martins (CSM), and a master degree at the University of London, Goldsmiths and another master’s degree in anthropology at the University of London, University College London (UCL). As the co-founder of graphic design studio DAEKI & JUN(DAandCompany), Shim has been recognized for his work and has won and selected more than 80 times at international design awards and biennales. Most notably, he won the Grand Prix at the 2017 Red Dot Design Award, the Judge’s Choice Award at the 2017 Society of Typographic Arts (STA) in Chicago, and the Platinum & Gold Awards at the Graphis Annual in 2016 and 2017. Shim co-curated several design exhibitions such as Between the First Show, Between #2 and Exhibition of AB in London. Also, Shim has served as a judge at multiple international awards and events, including the Graphis Annual, and Moscow Global Biennale of Graphic Design Golden Bee.
