gianpietro tonetti, the creative mind behind the winning lighting design work DiDi by STATUS explains “Project DiDi was born for give form and function at the new LED technology, expressing and enhancing the performance characteristics and cost of use. The advent of continuous strips of small LEDs, allowed to overturn the concept of the light source bound to light bulb and its holder, offering the formal possibilities unthinkable a short time ago. It was decided to create a lighting fixture starting from polycarbonate sheets worked from the flatbed.
