About Yena Choi : Yena believes that the fundamentals of design are made up of dots, lines and sides. When those elements combine, designs are limitless. She collects colorful papers from all over the world consisting of various shades, textures, and patterns. Her philosophy is that design must have logic, thus she loves the Golden Ratio Rule. She also places great importance on contributing back to the community. She is an active columnist in newspapers and a mentor to design students, providing her insight and guidance on designs. STATEMENT OF ART:I think design is like a living organism. When any subject wear ‘something called a design’, the organism can look elegant, rational, or funny. In other words, I think design is a medium for implicit emotional expression. In the end, it represents the nature of the client, their philosophy, and culture of the company and etc. Like a child, design requires constant attention and care.
