View Larger Image and Additional Photos of Loom LoopAbout Loom Loop : Designer Polly Ho launched her own brand Loom Loop in 2013 with her partner, prior to that Polly had a well established career as a fashion designer and consultant, she worked for many international high street brands and advised many Chinese clients. Early on in her career she worked for Misa Harada millinery in London, an experience that had a strong influence on her still today.
I started my fashion career at the age of 5, drawing a princess figure with different outfits was one of my favourite playtime activity. By the age of 7, I started draping blankets as dresses and setting my own fashion store in the bedroom.
My playtime activity remains unchanged, still drawing figures in different outfits, only this time in the workshop in Hong Kong Polytechnic University. 4 yrs of handcraft with a break in the University of central England… the exchange program. I called it as a break, no exaggeration, living in the UK at that time it's like a breeze achieving top grades and no complain lack of sleep. It was all down to the hardcore training in HKPolyU. During that break, I worked in Japanese Designer Misa Harada's workshop and travelled extensively in Europe to broaden my horizon as a designer. Through all these years I 've been working in the manufactory trading retail areas in HK. Passion still here. After getting in PMQ I and my partner quit our jobs and start up our own brand Loom Loop.
Our mission is to protect the cultural heritage, to raise sustainable fashion, and of course, original design.
