Hsin Ting Weng, the creator of the award winning work Xor Creative Research says “This project aims to revamp a Taiwanese terraced house, built in 1972, with creative fusions of past and new era. The facade, cladded with white lattice window, showcases modernized interior of cultural undertones. Deep backdrops set off spiral staircases, a minimalist statement built on golden ratio. Mismatch flooring with vernacular marbles, arraying in new forms of herringbone. In upstairs workplace, authentic Taiwanese tile flooring is partially preserved.
