SUN CHIENYA, the designer of the award winning project Home On The Ruins says “This is an old house built in the late Qing Dynasty. It is located on Pingjiang Road, a historic preserve in Suzhou, China. The old house has completely become ruins. Its building area is only 96 square meters. The old houses have collapsed. The roof only has lonely beams, mottled old walls, wild plants and rubbish all over the place have accumulated to the height of half a person.
