Liwan Yang, the creative mind behind the winning work Z temple explains “Cleansed for the journey beyond- The project is located right at the foot of Emei Mountain.The design of the interiors is a modernized extension of the structure found in indigenous temple architecture dated centuries ago. The colors and materials used in the space all resonates with old Chinese poems where famous poets invited friends to their Emei residence for an exceptional experience in the mountains deep in the clouds.
