Asuka Saito, the creative mind behind the winning jewelry design Phoenix in Bloom explains “This necklace is made with a traditional technique of Tsumami-Kanzashi, traditional Japanese folded flowers, made from small square fabric, that are worn by women as hair ornaments in traditional hairstyles.
