Yu-Ngok Lo pick ups the notable Silver A' Design Award

A' Design Competition is encouraged to announce that the design Grille by Yu-Ngok Lo has been granted the famous Silver A' Design Award at Interior Space and Exhibition Design Award Category.

A' International Design Award and Competition is delighted to share that the design Grill by Yu-Ngok Lo has been announced as a laureate of the famous Silver A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design Category highlighted as the winner by the international judging committee of the A' Design Awards & Competitions within a great number of submitted works.

Concerning Grill

Yu-Ngok Lo, the lead designer of the winning design Grill explains “The project turned an existing rundown motorcycle repair shop located in the northern part of Macau into a brand new artisan Barbeque Bistro. The biggest challenge of the project is to satisfy the client’s aggressive programmatic need in such a small space with a very tight budge. The design progress began with figuring a way to fit 40 seats in the 44 m2 dining area. A total construction budget of HK$320,000 was set at the beginning of the project. Our solution was to maintain the industrial aspect of the space by minimally finished the walls and ceiling with a “raw and unfinished” texture.” Learn more about this design at: https://competition.adesignaward.com/design.php?ID=30732
