Manuela Hardy, the designer of the award winning project Gateway to Lofoten says “The design of the appartements located in Roest, Lofoten, is inspired by traditional fishing houses, as the place has a long history with cod and stockfish. The local and also traditional building customs are being found in its form and use of materials, but there is a futuristic twist to the design. It is a merge of tradition and modern design.
