Bean Buro designed the new office space for creative company Cheil, which comprises over three floors in an office building in Sheung Wan. The workspace has a total area of approximately 25,000 square feet to accommodate the newly expanded in house departments, creating a large holistic office for the company’s Hong Kong branch. In presenting the home feel environment, a fresh open plan studio space with long desk clusters forming the open plan areas was implemented, while private offices and meeting rooms are located around the perimeter of the floor space.

The studio is an emerging architecture and interiors practice from London and Paris, led by Lorène Faure and Kenny Kinugasa-Tsui, with a team of international designers to provide architecture, interior, installation, furniture and product design services. The Hong Kong studio was opened in 2013. The diversity of the practice with its collaborators reinforces a core vision for the practice: to respond to the exchanges of global cultural narratives, incorporating overlapping design disciplines specializing in the social, economical and political production of urban spaces.

Cheil Hong Kong is part of Cheil Worldwide, a full service marketing agency headquartered in Seoul with 36 additional networks around the world. Cheil provides a full range of marketing services ranging from digital, retail, PR, event and creative branding. Long-standing clients of Cheil include Samsung, 3 Mobile, Innisfree, New Balance, Moet Hennessy and more. There are currently about 80 staff members working out of the Sheung Wan offices.
