This is a bold experiment in pattern, space and materials. It involved redesigning a former residential building into a dynamic commercial design studio and public facing exhibition space. Patterns created by the Studio’s bespoke software are printed on glass, leather and acrylic with UV and film technologies to create impactful design accents. The exhibition space layers patterns with utilitarian furniture and textiles for depth. Interior lighting employs changing patterns for vitality.

Yen-Ting Cho is an artist, designer and researcher. Born in Taiwan, he trained as an architect and then pursued his passion for programming and interaction design at Harvard University GSD and London’s Royal College of Art. In 2016, he founded Yen Ting Cho Studio (London). Cho uses his own digital technology which responds to body movement to create innovative, colourful and unique patterns for fashion accessories and interior design products. He is also Professor of Media and Interaction Design at National Cheng Kung University, Taiwan.

The Studio creates innovative and dynamic patterns through human-computer interaction. The patterns are crafted using digital technology pioneered by company founder and lead designer, Yen-Ting Cho. Curated data (photos, videos) is manipulated into original patterns and structure and colour are radically altered to create a signature style. Patterns are printed onto the finest materials, such as elegant pure wool, silk and cotton for award-winning scarf collections. The Studio's work blurs the boundaries between art, design and fashion. YEN TING CHO products are sold in galleries, boutiques, concept stores and design outlets around the world, and in museum stores such as San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, Harvard Art Museums, and the Netherlands Textile Museum.
