I aim to create product designs by combining principles of aesthetics, functionality, and sustainability. Sustainable design is my focus, prioritizing principles such as resource conservation, recycling, and waste reduction to minimize environmental impact. Not only do I emphasize aesthetics, but I also strive to address environmental responsibilities in my design decisions. Throughout my design process, I aim to create honest designs by considering both the producer and the consumer, as well as the environment and nature.
STATEMENT OF ART:As a designer, I find it important that designs not only rely on visual aesthetics but also engage with other senses. Elements such as the sense of touch, sound, and smell play a significant role in establishing a connection between the design and the user.
In product design, material selection and textures can enrich the interaction between users and the product. For example, the texture of wood or soft fabrics can enhance the tactile experience of the product. Additionally, factors like sounds produced during usage or the scent emitted by the materials can strengthen the design's sensory dimension, influencing the overall ambiance of the space it inhabits.
This multisensory approach can assist the design in not only being limited to functionality but also in establishing an emotional connection with the user. This means that a piece of furniture goes beyond being a mere object and can reflect the user's lifestyle, emotional experiences, and aesthetic preferences. The product collaborates as a whole with its user and environment. Therefore, social surroundings, user needs, behavioral patterns, and psychological aspects can be decisive in the design process. I believe that the act of design is unquestionably a multidisciplinary team effort in today's context.
In conclusion, as a product designer, it is crucial to create unique and captivating designs by not only focusing on visual aesthetics but also incorporating other senses. Enriching users' sensory experiences and collaborating closely with different disciplines are essential aspects of producing distinctive designs.
