There are many levels to design, levels that are related to both survival and flourishing. There are needs and there are desires, both can be fulfilled well by utilizing design. My starting point for jewelry design is visible in the name of my company Kaiku Koru (Echo Jewelry). As a jewelry designer-maker I want act as a channel between past, present, future lives and jewelry. I make echoes of life.
