As an Assistant Professor of Interior Design in the Rueff School of Design, Art, and Performance at Purdue University, Professor Young’s work explores the intersection of theory and practice which informs her approach to teaching and the classroom experiences she provides for graduate and undergraduate students. Barbara is passionate about using design to imbue dignity and respect for humans that inhabit built environments. Her research areas include design process and participation in the design of public spaces.
