Everyday objects transformed into surprising moments through his gaze, creating bold levels of meaning between art, design and transcendance. The accidental and seemingly incidental become concrete and form their very own statements. André Quirinus Zurbriggen teaches the viewer of his works, to see things with fresh eyes. His objects speak to the innermost part of the observer and repeatedly testify to the distant relationship between everything that is created and between all creatures.

Andre Quirinus Zurbriggen observes and identifies the unique artistic potential of raw materials. He rearranges the objects and puts them into a new form. If this new form shows a fundamental meaning and thereby shows "a strong image", as in his work "The Backbone", is it possible that art and design flow into one another?
Art and Design live from the act of creation and creation is an act of bringing something into a certain Form. Andre Quirnus Zurbriggen would by very happy to take part in this competition, where the Artist looks to the Designer and the Designer looks to the Artist.
