This ethos comes from his background, studying and working experiences in medical field and Japanese sense of care and appreciation of transition. He designs from domestic appliances to furniture with his Japanese and Western design philosophy. In 2018, Masahiko won an international design competition with his folding sheet metal stool, V stool.
