With a wealth of knowledge accumulated on the small scale of metalsmithing (jewelry). In 2009 they Started Stefani & Co. and turned their attention to larger works of furniture, sculpture and public art, while maintaining the highest level of craftsmanship as if each piece is hand-crafted jewelry. Today Stefani & Co. has produced multiple award winning designs of national and internationally recognition including an A' Design Silver winner in lighting in 2013.
I generally draw a hard line between "art" and "design". Art is very subjective, and in my eyes has more in-depth thought or meaning underlying the final piece. Design on the other hand is very direct in its meaning and may be done just for the purpose of looking interesting with no underlying meaning at all . I sometimes like to blur the lines between the two but, I consider myself foremost a designer.
