DESIGN NAME: A Light In The Dark
PRIMARY FUNCTION: Survival
INSPIRATION: Inspiration from the real life, and movies like Oblivion, Interstellar, Aliens, The Martian or Lovecraft Universe. Creating an immersive survival experience is what motivates Habib. This survival game is based on the light in the dark. The player have to follow the light in order to survive.
UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Habib wants to design an immersive survival game that can be played with Virtual Reality Headset. The project of this game is an exploration adventure with survival elements on an unknown planet. A scientist was extremely fortunate to survice from a crash of his spaceship. He cannot fight with a gun or something else, because there ar no weapons and he is a scientist not a soldier. He must do collect some items and survival elements in order to repair his spaceship and to survive
OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: It could be play with Virtual Reality Headset like Occulus Rift, HTC Vive.
PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: This project was made in 2 months only in 2018. It's a prototype made by Habib Bakas.

PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: Video game project made with Unreal Engine 4, Autodesk 3DS max, Zbrush, photoshop and Substance Painter. All 3D models were made with Autodesk 3DS Max and Zbrush, and have been integrated in Unreal Engine 4. Unreal Engine 4 allows to create an entire universe and an immersive game. Make something unreal.
SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: This project is designed for PC and Mac, and Virtual Reality Headset.

RESEARCH ABSTRACT: Every items were designed with photoshop and were modeled inside the software called 3DS Max and Zbrush. Every items were painted into an another one called Substance Painter. After, every items were imported into a software called Unreal Engine 4. With this software, it is possible to create a 3D world. All materials of the items were made inside this software.
CHALLENGE: Some obstacles overcomed during the development of this project. One of them is programming, more exactly coding all the main character's behavior. How he walks, how he takes an item... It was difficult to make this project alone within 2 months. And so, every 3D models, coding and animation were made by one person.
