PRIMARY FUNCTION: Sparkling Wines Label
INSPIRATION: The task was to create a trendy, glossy and modern look for a series of aromatic Italian wines. Furthermore, it was necessary to find the best combination between the current trends, the use of the latest printing techniques and recognizable Italian classics. When looking at this product, it should be able to feel the style, spirit and glorious design heritage of Italian products.
UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: A distinctive feature of this project is the label design. There is solution that allows applying the same shape to the entire Flash product line and is equally suitable for all tastes. Individually designed and styled, crafted images of fruit are the core of the label elements. Each image is individual and found such visual and technical techniques that made them irresistible, attractive, stylish and statutory.
OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: The label is printed on special waterproof pearlescent paper, which is designed specifically for sparkling wines. It does not get wet in the refrigerator or in a bucket with ice and maintains its appealing look all through the use of the product. Pearlescent paper allows the use a variety of bright juicy colors for each fruit image, which significantly reduces the cost of manufacturing labels.
PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project started in June 2018 in on the island of Sicily, Italy. Currently, Flash sparkling wines are present in Italian stores. In the future, the manufacturer plans to commercialize this product throughout Europe.

PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: Modern print and post-printing technologies were used in this design, such as embossing, stamping and special tactile polish. Printing was executed on high-quality paper, which, combined with the use of a wide range of techniques, made it possible to achieve the perfect vision of the visual design and to deliver pleasant visual and tactile sensations to the customer at direct contact with the product in the store.
SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: Label dimensions: 122 mm for 116 mm. The label set contains an additional superior part - a necklace on the neck of the bottle. The necklace completes the overall design composition, giving the product an additional pyramid - like shape.

RESEARCH ABSTRACT: The Agency carried out an extensive research work to prepare for the task of creating brand concepts and the subsequent refinement of the final design version. Different opinions were taken into account and the potential attractiveness and appeal of the product were investigated when using different styles of visual design. As a result, the final choice was an option that optimally reflects the branding concept of the product and the winemaker itself.
CHALLENGE: The most difficult task within this project was to keep the fine line between the traditional Italian style and the innovative approach in the overall style of the product. It was necessary to create a design that is at the same time traditional and innovative, modern and in a good way – fashionable.
