DESIGN NAME: Msalais
PRIMARY FUNCTION: Wine
INSPIRATION: Msalais in Uygur means grape wine. Gaochang Dynasty paid tribute to Tang Dynasty's court, which is called "Qiongjiang of Western Regions". Because the wine-making grapes come from Avati County, and "Avati" is also a famous hero, so we choose to integrate the image of Avati into this wine-making wine which has lasted for thousands of years. This is a respect for Xinjiang culture and a call for great national unity in the world.
UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: This design is based on the image elements of "Avati" and combines colorful colors to create a witty image of a wise man in Xinjiang. This wine is brewed from grapes from Awati County, Xinjiang, Emphasis is on a fruit wine, and is a intangible cultural heritage of China. Historically, there was once a well-known character in China called "Avati", who was kind, intelligent and helpful. Therefore, using his image to design, conveys a positive spiritual outlook. It also embodies the good moral of "great national unity".
OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: We try to use leisure drinks to spread national culture, which is the original intention of packaging this wine. We design several color versions of packaging to reflect the local concept of colorful, sunshine and pure nature in Xinjiang, which conveys a message that happiness is the essence of drinking culture.
PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project started from July 2018 and finished in September 2018. The design is done in Shenzhen, proofing in Shanghai, production in Xingjiang province.

PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: We adopt spot-color printing on the aluminum bottle. The upper part of it is covered by aluminum film.
SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: Capacity of the aluminum bottle is 375ml, the height is 255mm, and the diameter is 184mm.

RESEARCH ABSTRACT: This design is an upgrade case. Customers said that the previous set of meals designed by customers was ineffective and the sales were disappointing. After in-depth study of the project, we found that the reason for the failure of the original packaging is that the original packaging is not different from other brands, and the design is too traditional. So we decided to make some changes: combine the colorful Xinjiang colors and heroes to rebuild this product.
CHALLENGE: 1.The color of this package needs to be very gorgeous, but the bottle spray color, whether external or internal, can not meet the requirements.
2.Finally, it was decided that the problem of bright color and saturation could be solved by printing on shrinkable film in spot color.
