Interview with Jie Yang at Monday 22nd of April 2019 FS: What is the main principle, idea and inspiration behind your design? JY: This is a wine from Xinjiang, China. I hope people will be happy and happy when they see him. My design inspiration comes from the local people. FS: What has been your main focus in designing this work? Especially what did you want to achieve? JY: I'm very concerned about how people react when they see this package. I want everyone to be happy when they see it, and sincerely admire our design. FS: What are your future plans for this award winning design? JY: Let this product go to the world, more people like and love it. FS: How long did it take you to design this particular concept? JY: 60 days FS: Why did you design this particular concept? Was this design commissioned or did you decide to pursuit an inspiration? JY: The concept of design comes from my understanding of the product. I think it's a pleasant medium. It's entirely inspired by myself. The client didn't ask for it. FS: Is your design being produced or used by another company, or do you plan to sell or lease the production rights or do you intent to produce your work yourself? JY: It is a product produced and used by another company. FS: What made you design this particular type of work? JY: I like this wine, so I think it should have better packaging, so that more people like it. FS: Where there any other designs and/or designers that helped the influence the design of your work? JY: I have seen people in Xinjiang, China, with rich expressions and warm hospitality, so I think of using expressions to create. FS: Who is the target customer for his design? JY: Young consumers. FS: What sets this design apart from other similar or resembling concepts? JY: This design will be more colourful, and people will soon like it, and it is a series. FS: How did you come up with the name for this design? What does it mean? JY: This is from the ancient local language, is a story about love, meaning pure love. FS: Which design tools did you use when you were working on this project? JY: Design software and hand-painted pen and paper, etc. FS: What is the most unique aspect of your design? JY: All kinds of character expression packages convey happy mood. FS: Who did you collaborate with for this design? Did you work with people with technical / specialized skills? JY: I know painting by myself and I am a professional designer. FS: What is the role of technology in this particular design? JY: Precise control of color rendering is very important. FS: Is your design influenced by data or analytical research in any way? What kind of research did you conduct for making this design? JY: Yes, when I did this design, I analyzed the preferences of consumers, because for young people, I made a colorful design. FS: What are some of the challenges you faced during the design/realization of your concept? JY: It is difficult for the glass bottle to be so transparent and bright when it is colored. This is the biggest technical problem we have encountered. Later, the idea was realized by shrink film. FS: How did you decide to submit your design to an international design competition? JY: Because I think this is a very successful design, I have a strong preference for A'Design, I hope to be recognized by experts. FS: What did you learn or how did you improve yourself during the designing of this work? JY: Learned how to express emotions better and how to express them. FS: Any other things you would like to cover that have not been covered in these questions? JY: It's really a different kind of wine. They say that if you drink this wine, you can have a baby when you age of 80.
