| DESIGN NAME: Geometric Square Bangle PRIMARY FUNCTION: Geometric Square Bangle INSPIRATION: This Geometric Bangle from the Synthesis collection was designed for the Canadian Brand, Kate Hewko. The main idea behind the design brief was to come up with a geometric/architectu UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The Geometric bangle is a perfect piece for any occasion. The design has been created using square metal frames placed at different angles that converge to the central square frame. Though the shape used is a basic square, the design is unique and statement. The material used is metal only. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: Easily wearable on hand PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: Designed by Harsha Jayasankar (Mumbai, India) for Kate Hewko (Canada) in 2017 |
PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: Base metal: Brass (gold plated/silver plated) SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: Outer Dimension: 60mm x 45mm TAGS: jewelry design, fashion, product design, accessory design, jewelry RESEARCH ABSTRACT: The basic concept of this collection is geometry. The aim was to come up with a geometric collection that is bold and edgy. CHALLENGE: Geometry can sometimes be monotonous. The key objective to create a good geometric design is to maintain a balance while using a certain pattern. The collection had to be minimal yet statement looking. The basic shapes used in this collection are squares and triangles. The shapes have been interpreted in such a way making the design unique and eye catchy.
