| DESIGN NAME: Pine Lady PRIMARY FUNCTION: Costume INSPIRATION: The background of pines trees and their sustainable influence on humans’ life throughout the history provoked me to opt out the pine as a representational symbol of aesthetics in sustainable and evergreen nature and place its beauty in opposition to the perishable prettiness of human beings. The character of being weak and mortal veiled itself behind the mighty nature and tried to unify with the nature to overcome the intrinsic weakness. In this costume, character finds herself humankind, distanced from mortality and pictures herself as the mother nature. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: the philosophy of art directing is an important point of conceptual fashion photography. this collection is about designing a costume to show the simplicity of beauty beside an avantgarde dress and accessories. as a photographer and costume designer i prefered to choose pine as my handmade costume material to show the paradox of evergreen nature and young women beauty. the character knows about mortality and she tries to veil her weekness by this imortal wooden plant. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: the photographer wants to involve Viewers by the relation between natural material of costume and natural beauty of human with simplicity of portrait lighting and minimalism of white background.audience can twin though the character and feel the unification of human and nature.
