Interview with Samin Sadat Mousavi at Tuesday 7th of March 2017

FS: What is the main principle, idea and inspiration behind your design?
SM: immortal pine natural beauty beside a young women who pretends not to know about disapearing her beauty by aging and use this evergreen plant to defend her against mortality.

FS: What has been your main focus in designing this work? Especially what did you want to achieve?
SM: usage of natural material in costume and accessories to show the concert of natural beauty by the natural material in conceptual fashion photography

FS: What are your future plans for this award winning design?
SM: im writing an artict " narration in fashion photography with an emphasis on branding strategy " which i love to research about it in an international serious fashion industry and make my article practical in big fashion agencies

FS: How long did it take you to design this particular concept?
SM: a month

FS: Why did you design this particular concept? Was this design commissioned or did you decide to pursuit an inspiration?
SM: shoot a conceptual fashion photography which doesnt getting serious in my country as an important part of advertising photography was my inspiration to design a costume based on this concept and capture it to show the matter of concept of fashion design and its advertising photography

FS: Is your design being produced or used by another company, or do you plan to sell or lease the production rights or do you intent to produce your work yourself?
SM: no

FS: What made you design this particular type of work?
SM: my intrest in conceptual fashion

FS: Where there any other designs and/or designers that helped the influence the design of your work?
SM: yes i had an assist who helped me to install pine dress " Sadaf Mehrafza "

FS: What sets this design apart from other similar or resembling concepts?
SM: we dont have serious conceptual fashion designers in iran for this reason we dont have professional conceptual fashion photographers in our country

FS: How did you come up with the name for this design? What does it mean?
SM: i use the name of two charagters of my photo. a lady and pine

FS: Who did you collaborate with for this design? Did you work with people with technical / specialized skills?
SM: a make up artist 4 stage assistants a model

FS: Is your design influenced by data or analytical research in any way? What kind of research did you conduct for making this design?
SM: a simple research about pine tree history

FS: What are some of the challenges you faced during the design/realization of your concept?
SM: the hardship of instaling a large number of pines into a dress

FS: How did you decide to submit your design to an international design competition?
SM: by encouraging of my firend " Reza Zadfar "

FS: What did you learn or how did you improve yourself during the designing of this work?
SM: a costume can be just design for a shoot to creat eternal picture and it can be useless in reality
