DESIGN NAME: Fudge & Toffee
PRIMARY FUNCTION: Fudge and Toffe
INSPIRATION: The solution was a black packaging that makes the product images precedence. The photo concept was inspired by the style of classic pralinés. A younger target group to be addressed by the color and a loosened typography.
We have tried to create the balancing act between tradition and modernity.
UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Designing a new fudge and toffee-range for an innovative company that reconstitutes itself as a producer of high quality confectionery. Lavishly packaged and printed with hot foil, noble and high-gloss finish. Scene set in premium products, highlighting of enjoyment and quality ingredients.
Through a small crease in the cover, enhanced by gold foil, these products stand out on the shelves and justify a higher price.
OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: Finest Confectionery quality for connoisseurs. With the mix of classic and modern design elements, all age groups are addressed. The packaging is a very nice gift not just for special occasions, but also just for in between.
PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project started in October 2012 in Hamburg and finished in March 2013.

PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: Folding box, 7-color printed, finished with hotfoil. To get a very deep black, black was printed twice.
The wave / kink at the upper end of the packing box gives the enormous stability.
On the back the carton shuts by a tongue and groove.
SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: 115 x 55 x 200
