PRIMARY FUNCTION: Biotechnological Lamp
INSPIRATION: We want to generate spectacularity, intrigue, expectation. Create a climate of nature and emotion, convey the feeling of precision, reinforcing light and nature as design elements.
UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The objective was clear, to generate a spectacular, elegant and aesthetic video. The product, a lamp of an excellent design with a switch out of the norm but within nature. A biological switch. This high-end product, exclusively produced in Barcelona, turns on at the touch of your favorite plant.
OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: The video project is a standard Full-HD 1920X1080px format with optimised compression for social media and digital media such as web or e-commerce. In addition, and to make the content more consumable and adaptable, we worked specifically on 16:9, 1:1 and 9:16 proportions, to nurture all existing digital channels.
PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project started in September 2021 and was completed in January 2022 in Madrid, Kutuko Studio.

PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: To create the main art and still on which to base the aesthetics of the whole project we started with a search for references and inspiration on websites such as Behance, Vimeo or Pinterest which we accumulated on moodboards within the Milanote website. To take it to 3D we always use Cinema 4D software and the Redshift rendering engine. The hand tracking part was done with a motion capture camera and then corrected in Cinema 4D itself. The particle simulations were done with the xparticles plugin.
SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: The export format and technical specifications are:
16:9, FHD, 1920X1080px optimisation with .mp4. compression codecs (h264).
1:1, FHD, 1920X1920px optimised with .mp4 compression codecs (h264).
9:16, FHD, 1080X192020px optimisation with .mp4 compression codecs. (h264)
These same formats can be exported at a higher quality without .mov (h265) compression.

RESEARCH ABSTRACT: The exclusivity of the product allowed us to develop high quality art, minimalism and cleanliness of each shot. The workflow and human talent was divided between modellers, motion graphers, creative directors, art directors and managers who, through an internal platform for the correct monitoring of the project, fulfilled the production phases of creativity, art, storytelling, bso, realisation, modelling, texturing, lighting, postproduction and sfx.
CHALLENGE: The biggest challenge was the implementation of the realistic hand, we looked for a 3d scan of a real hand and did the rigging. We worked on the textures trying to make it look as close as possible to reality. On the other hand it was also difficult to make all the interior spaces maintain the same style, making it look like each shot was part of a whole.
