| DESIGN NAME: Wall O PRIMARY FUNCTION: Wall Seat INSPIRATION: The first idea was to develop a seat to relax on a large unoccupied wall of a house. After radicalizing its envelope, the shape of the capsule became evident. The challenge was to fix the seat to the wall, without visible fixing, while keeping it light and sober, as if to encourage curiosity about an unusual seat. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Wall-O offers itself as an intelligent and elegant wall capsule. At home, in the office or in a waiting room, it serves as a cocoon that protects you from noise and prying eyes. Thanks to its recycled PET casing and the highest quality ecological textile interior, Wall-O is environmentally friendly. Its radical and minimalist lines are studied with the aim of offering the ideal space to feel comfortable and to be able to free your mind and feel safe. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: Wall-O simply attaches to the wall, in your living room or in a waiting room. Its soft acoustic envelope in PET felt invites you to immerse yourself in it as in a benevolent cocoon. The absorbing effect of ambient sound immediately gives you serenity and undressed comfort. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: project started in November 2020 in Grandvillard (CH). The first prototype left the workshops in February 2022 and the final version in June 2022.
