Interview with Inty LLC at Monday 16th of November 2020 FS: What is the main principle, idea and inspiration behind your design? AV: Simple forms, contrast, attention to details. FS: What has been your main focus in designing this work? Especially what did you want to achieve? AV: We wanted visitors to feel the hologram as a real living object. Shadows and sound design played a big role in this direction. FS: How long did it take you to design this particular concept? AV: Two weeks for holograms design and animation. One week for interior design and technical setup. One week for sound design. FS: Why did you design this particular concept? Was this design commissioned or did you decide to pursuit an inspiration? AV: It was a project for the Moscow City Government for an exhibition that was devoted to energy consumption. FS: What made you design this particular type of work? AV: This work is a unification of strong technical service, software development and real time CG design. We think this makes it particular. FS: Where there any other designs and/or designers that helped the influence the design of your work? AV: We can not select any particular designer or concept, but we can say that we were influenced by minimalistic digital style that is a trend today. FS: Which design tools did you use when you were working on this project? AV: We used Ventuz as a main real-time platform. With its help we have created an internal tool that let us work in three layers at the same time using one animation timeline. Also we used a virtual setup to reconstruct the result on flow and see how it looks like. Synchronisation was done automatically in real time.
