Interview with Eleonora Venzaga at Thursday 23rd of May 2019

FS: What is the main principle, idea and inspiration behind your design?
EV: The idea was to create a brand identity composed of a few elements but in harmony with each other. The visual wanted to be focused on the typography and maternity of the material.

FS: What has been your main focus in designing this work? Especially what did you want to achieve?
EV: The goal was to create a recognizable visual language, but based on a few elements and color another fundamental part of the project. Cool color and character.

FS: What are your future plans for this award winning design?
EV: Maybe participate in other awards as well.

FS: How long did it take you to design this particular concept?
EV: The project started in September 2016 and finished in March 2017.

FS: Why did you design this particular concept? Was this design commissioned or did you decide to pursuit an inspiration?
EV: This design had to reflect stability while creating dynamism. While reflecting brand values such as solidity and versatility. The design turn around the typography. The project pointed to align brand identity, naming, website, and social media strategy around the company’s ideas and desires. Through a sophisticated use of Antenna type, the brand displays a strong personality. A clean editorial grid and different details as the typography that goes ahead through the borders

FS: Is your design being produced or used by another company, or do you plan to sell or lease the production rights or do you intent to produce your work yourself?
EV: The project is used and owned by my current communication studio.

FS: What made you design this particular type of work?
EV: Perhaps the idea of making something that lasts as long as possible and that anyone who can see it appreciates the final effect.

FS: Who is the target customer for his design?
EV: Anyone who appreciates the simplicity and complexity that underlies any simple idea.

FS: What sets this design apart from other similar or resembling concepts?
EV: Focusing the design on a few elements I think is the strong point of this project.

FS: How did you come up with the name for this design? What does it mean?
EV: Simply the name of the function of this project.

FS: Which design tools did you use when you were working on this project?
EV: The main tool was Adobe illustrator

FS: What is the most unique aspect of your design?
EV: I believe the simplicity of communication, I do not deny that if I put myself there today would be different, but I still appreciate the concept behind it: to go beyond, beyond all limits

FS: Who did you collaborate with for this design? Did you work with people with technical / specialized skills?
EV: Like all major projects you're never alone, I was able to deal with Art Directors with more experience than me, with creative directors, and with a printer who really knows one more than the devil.

FS: Is your design influenced by data or analytical research in any way? What kind of research did you conduct for making this design?
EV: The market research I did was to compare other design studies and observe their internal and external communication, current trends and artistic trends of the moment.

FS: What are some of the challenges you faced during the design/realization of your concept?
EV: I think we can all agree on that. And take them in the same direction as me. Trusting in my work.

FS: How did you decide to submit your design to an international design competition?
EV: Actually, it was an accident, and I got the idea through a newsletter. You have to take a risk sometimes.
