Interview with Arsalan Ghadimi at Wednesday 17th of April 2019 FS: What is the main principle, idea and inspiration behind your design? AG: Cultural characteristics and the disadvantages of this type of sitting were the source of my inspiration FS: What has been your main focus in designing this work? Especially what did you want to achieve? AG: My main focus was on ergonomics and sitting style in this product FS: What are your future plans for this award winning design? AG: Get to the production stage FS: How long did it take you to design this particular concept? AG: About 2 months FS: Why did you design this particular concept? Was this design commissioned or did you decide to pursuit an inspiration? AG: The need of our people to correct sit was the design of this product FS: Is your design being produced or used by another company, or do you plan to sell or lease the production rights or do you intent to produce your work yourself? AG: We hope to sell this project for production FS: What made you design this particular type of work? AG: We realized the need for the people and we did this with a better design FS: Where there any other designs and/or designers that helped the influence the design of your work? AG: It was a team work and had different ideas in the design FS: Who is the target customer for his design? AG: All people in the community without age and gender restrictions FS: What sets this design apart from other similar or resembling concepts? AG: The importance of ergonomics for people who sit in sit criss FS: How did you come up with the name for this design? What does it mean? AG: The Lunule is called a white crescent of nail, it is a small part but it displays our needs, Like a good but necessary chair FS: Which design tools did you use when you were working on this project? AG: solidworks for 3d modeling and keyshot for rendering FS: What is the most unique aspect of your design? AG: Two types of sitting and maintaining ergonomics for them and it's not just a concept FS: Who did you collaborate with for this design? Did you work with people with technical / specialized skills? AG: Yes, we have a perfect and professional team, we are proud to work with this team. FS: What is the role of technology in this particular design? AG: With the easiest technology it is possible to produce this design. FS: Is your design influenced by data or analytical research in any way? What kind of research did you conduct for making this design? AG: We worked on ergonomics on our design FS: What are some of the challenges you faced during the design/realization of your concept? AG: Our challenge was to maintain ergonomics for each of the two types of sitting FS: How did you decide to submit your design to an international design competition? AG: is any designer's aspiration the win international design competition FS: What did you learn or how did you improve yourself during the designing of this work? AG: This is the job of any industrial designer and up to date to work
