Editor Frank Scott (FS) from DesignPRWire has interviewed designer Rucha Ghadge (RG) for A' Design Awards and Competition. You can access the full profile of Rucha Ghadge by clicking here. Access more information about the award winning design Tirupati Illustrations here.

Interview with Rucha Ghadge at Sunday 28th of July 2019

FS: What is the main principle, idea and inspiration behind your design?
RG: The idea is to convey Tirupati as a contemporary city keeping in mind its roots and highly religious nature.

FS: What has been your main focus in designing this work? Especially what did you want to achieve?
RG: I wanted to push the abstract aspects of the illustration as much as possible while still trying to be respectful of the deities represented.

FS: How long did it take you to design this particular concept?
RG: It took me a month to come up and execute this project.

FS: Why did you design this particular concept? Was this design commissioned or did you decide to pursuit an inspiration?
RG: It was assigned to me as a part of my college curriculum.

FS: Which design tools did you use when you were working on this project?
RG: I worked on mostly Illustrator for this project.

FS: What are some of the challenges you faced during the design/realization of your concept?
RG: The files were really really heavy for this one.

FS: How did you decide to submit your design to an international design competition?
RG: A faculty member made us aware of this award and encouraged me to participate.

FS: What did you learn or how did you improve yourself during the designing of this work?
RG: I think I became more confident in my ability to execute detailed vectors as that was something I was really unsure.

FS: Thank you for providing us with this opportunity to interview you.
