Interview with Ghiath Al Masri at Wednesday 20th of March 2019 FS: What is the main principle, idea and inspiration behind your design? GA: elegant house in simple way protect the indoor spaces from the hot sun rays and whether in new way like slabs for that the project name is slab house FS: What has been your main focus in designing this work? Especially what did you want to achieve? GA: distinguish with elegant shapes FS: What are your future plans for this award winning design? GA: expansion my work step forward to international marketing FS: How long did it take you to design this particular concept? GA: 3 to 4 months FS: Why did you design this particular concept? Was this design commissioned or did you decide to pursuit an inspiration? GA: pursuit the new idea , I try to not repeat the design idea FS: Is your design being produced or used by another company, or do you plan to sell or lease the production rights or do you intent to produce your work yourself? GA: I produce my work to my client only FS: Who is the target customer for his design? GA: Luxury villa owners FS: How did you come up with the name for this design? What does it mean? GA: the shape of it FS: Which design tools did you use when you were working on this project? GA: free hand sketches and computer software like Autocad and 3DSMAX FS: What is the most unique aspect of your design? GA: SLABS cover facade FS: Who did you collaborate with for this design? Did you work with people with technical / specialized skills? GA: no only me FS: What is the role of technology in this particular design? GA: concrete fishing and the Aluminum glass windows FS: Is your design influenced by data or analytical research in any way? What kind of research did you conduct for making this design? GA: the research is my daily habit , to be exposure about architecture movement you have to see daily projects design FS: What are some of the challenges you faced during the design/realization of your concept? GA: The uniqueness is really big challenge FS: How did you decide to submit your design to an international design competition? GA: I got a letter from A'Award design that my design is elegible to submit , I find it interesting, I wasn't think before about Awards, but A' Award Design & Competition Team spark up the idea FS: What did you learn or how did you improve yourself during the designing of this work? GA: many thing , first of all free hand sketching I saw many video and images about free hand to develop my skill, then develop the 3D software capability by reading contact with 3D software and plugins companies FS: Any other things you would like to cover that have not been covered in these questions? GA: I would like to thank A'Award Design team they were very helpful and support for any question .
