Interview with Mihye Je at Thursday 16th of May 2019 FS: What is the main principle, idea and inspiration behind your design? MJ: Thedesignwasinspiredby thebasicprinciple ofdesign- a balanceofemphasizingandde-emphasizinganddesigntrend researches. FS: What has been your main focus in designing this work? Especially what did you want to achieve? MJ: Adding space perception on the 2d screen and wanted to feel attractive the products by the customers. Thus, we wanted to break the stereotype of difficulties and boredom on making a contract and purchasing process. FS: What are your future plans for this award winning design? MJ: Haven't thought about this. Maybe contracting various projects from overseas? FS: How long did it take you to design this particular concept? MJ: It took about 3 weeks to finalize the design concept. FS: Why did you design this particular concept? Was this design commissioned or did you decide to pursuit an inspiration? MJ: The client entrusted us on design and they had flexible thinking on design, so it was possible to design experimentally. The ideas and the direction were the results of our amazing team’s efforts. FS: Is your design being produced or used by another company, or do you plan to sell or lease the production rights or do you intent to produce your work yourself? MJ: Hello Mobile asked us to design their mobile website to improve the design and usability. FS: What made you design this particular type of work? MJ: Webelievedthat the simpleisthe bestand the basic never gets old.Thus, weusethe basic design rules - Emphasizing thepoint-.Usually, we pursue clean and neat. FS: Where there any other designs and/or designers that helped the influence the design of your work? MJ: The teammates’ ideas helped to deduct the design and many amazing works on behance.com. FS: Who is the target customer for his design? MJ: Wesetthe target customers as the 20sto 40s adults who care about cost-effectiveness. FS: How did you come up with the name for this design? What does it mean? MJ: Usually, we set the project name using the client’s name or the feature of the project.In thiscase, weaddedtheclient’snameand thefeatureof theproject. FS: Which design tools did you use when you were working on this project? MJ: Adobe Photoshop for design, and invision for prototyping FS: What is the most unique aspect of your design? MJ: I assume that the unique aspect of the design is adding space perception. And the unique layout compares to the other competitors of the market. FS: What are some of the challenges you faced during the design/realization of your concept? MJ: The concept is very clear. But the setting the regulations to maintain the design concept was the most difficult part of this project. FS: How did you decide to submit your design to an international design competition? MJ: This was finished 2 years ago, so we thought it was too late to submit any design awards.But A’designaward sent anemailto us tosubmitthedesign.
