FS: What is the main principle, idea and inspiration behind your design?
CF: The chair is inspired by a toilet roll and the fact that the kid can design their own chair.

FS: What has been your main focus in designing this work? Especially what did you want to achieve?
CF: My main focus was to design something especially for children, which would also allow the kids to be creative and interact with it.

FS: What are your future plans for this award winning design?
CF: I would like to continue to exhibit the chair in museums around the world and possibly getting it into production.

FS: How long did it take you to design this particular concept?
CF: I first came up with the idea in 2004 and developed the concept onto present date.

FS: Why did you design this particular concept? Was this design commissioned or did you decide to pursuit an inspiration?
CF: I made it to pursuit an inspiration, because the particular concept was to tell stories with furniture.

FS: Is your design being produced or used by another company, or do you plan to sell or lease the production rights or do you intent to produce your work yourself?
CF: I indend to get it into production.

FS: What made you design this particular type of work?
CF: I was working with different furniture that told stories of everyday life, like stress, animal welfare, genetic manipulation, use of paper or recycling...

FS: Where there any other designs and/or designers that helped the influence the design of your work?
CF: No, not really.

FS: Who is the target customer for his design?
CF: It was targeted for children.

FS: What sets this design apart from other similar or resembling concepts?
CF: It let's the kid feel creative and also appeals to the parents because they can store all the drawings.

FS: How did you come up with the name for this design? What does it mean?
CF: It stands for a collection of all the drawings.

FS: Which design tools did you use when you were working on this project?
CF: I used my hand and a pencil for the sketch, and later on AutoCAD.

FS: What is the most unique aspect of your design?
CF: It reinvents a way of drawing for kids.

FS: Who did you collaborate with for this design? Did you work with people with technical / specialized skills?
CF: The idea is my own, and I had a metal workshop to do the structure.

FS: What is the role of technology in this particular design?
CF: It's a basic frame work with simple a simple mechanism that has a spring that holds the paper roll into place.

FS: Is your design influenced by data or analytical research in any way? What kind of research did you conduct for making this design?
CF: No, it is not.

FS: What are some of the challenges you faced during the design/realization of your concept?
CF: Figuring out a best position for the paper roll and movement of the paper as it was drawn on.

FS: How did you decide to submit your design to an international design competition?
CF: I was personally invited to participate by the A'Design Award.

FS: What did you learn or how did you improve yourself during the designing of this work?
CF: I learned that giving the user a different experience when interacting with the object brings a lot of satisfaction.

FS: Any other things you would like to cover that have not been covered in these questions?
CF: I think the interview holds everything spot on!
