Interview with Oksana Kashkovskaya at Wednesday 26th of April 2017 FS: What is the main principle, idea and inspiration behind your design? OK: The general inspiration of this project was the Museum that is a beautiful and so ancient place in the Amsterdam.When i have seen the beautiful hall and works of old painters then i decided to create something about this place ,thus i saw the amazing ideas how will be looks my new short movie. FS: What has been your main focus in designing this work? Especially what did you want to achieve? OK: I tried to show how the ancient pictures can come life even if it's looks impossibly.The main character of this project is the butterfly ,that is the drawn character of Pieter Withoos,i also tried to show how the old art and modern thing as a watch can interact with each over,how harmony exist at these two interactions. FS: What are your future plans for this award winning design? OK: I think what this Award can help me to find more interesting clients with unusual idea of projects for them. FS: How long did it take you to design this particular concept? OK: The process of preparation to scenes from start began on the paper, it's took not so long time,i had drew all scenes on the storyboard and in few hours began the process on the Softwares. FS: Where there any other designs and/or designers that helped the influence the design of your work? OK: I made the all project myself with using only my imagination. FS: Who is the target customer for his design? OK: I think this project will be interesting watch to all categories of people. FS: How did you come up with the name for this design? What does it mean? OK: The name of the project is Museum of Time,it was an unusual idea what the name to give my movie.First of all,at this movie many watch and old pictures which is the time of period of centuries and the Museum has the many different things that have their own time, time stopped but at the same time continues to movie.....i think this is magical place. FS: Which design tools did you use when you were working on this project? OK: The all project was made by the 3D Software and additional programs as Photoshop and Illustrator also was used the Software for creating the liquid at the scenes. FS: What is the most unique aspect of your design? OK: The using of colors from dark to white,bright moments as an interaction of bright colors, it's doing my project interesting for watching,also the decision of live liquid which moves what is create the special magical acsent of all movie. FS: What is the role of technology in this particular design? OK: For this project were used very popular Softwares,without it never wouldn't be available to creation so great part of movie art as 3D animation. FS: What are some of the challenges you faced during the design/realization of your concept? OK: I at the first worked over creation of the liquid ,thus was some complications during process,but the end result worth it. FS: How did you decide to submit your design to an international design competition? OK: At the first i had saw about competition in the 2016 year and at that moment i hadn't idea will be i submit or don't...but when i worked over the project of Museum of Time i decided that why not,i can try submit my work. FS: What did you learn or how did you improve yourself during the designing of this work? OK: I received more knowlledges from the new Softwares as RealFlow and it was a good experience for me. More patience during all process and i knew new methods of working with different tasks of scenes ,thus i have known more about 3D Softwares.
