Interview with Salman Ebrahimi at Wednesday 26th of April 2017 FS: What is the main principle, idea and inspiration behind your design? SE: I've got the design idea of modular origami. I am a Origami designer. FS: What has been your main focus in designing this work? Especially what did you want to achieve? SE: I wanted to design a very simple toys to create very complex shapes. FS: What are your future plans for this award winning design? SE: I would love to produce my design Because I think it is amazingly fun. FS: How long did it take you to design this particular concept? SE: I thought a few months into its design but suddenly there's sometimes some problems to be resolved in the design and suddenly there came some challenges. FS: Why did you design this particular concept? Was this design commissioned or did you decide to pursuit an inspiration? SE: I thought it might be something interesting, but when playing with Lego different from Lego to design that is attractive and different. FS: Is your design being produced or used by another company, or do you plan to sell or lease the production rights or do you intent to produce your work yourself? SE: I would like to rent my right to produce it FS: What made you design this particular type of work? SE: I would like to design sophisticated toys with simple construction. I have a few things in the field. FS: Where there any other designs and/or designers that helped the influence the design of your work? SE: I'm looking for people for a long time that help me. But have not been successful FS: Who is the target customer for his design? SE: children and teenagers And those who are interested teasers FS: What sets this design apart from other similar or resembling concepts? SE: Components of this product are very simple. Bow with which complex shapes can be made FS: How did you come up with the name for this design? What does it mean? SE: Abbreviation of the circle actually This design is an arc of a circle FS: Which design tools did you use when you were working on this project? SE: Initially I plan on paper Then it was completed in Software Design FS: What is the most unique aspect of your design? SE: Bows can be created with a complex shape geometry It is a surprise that this complexity can be simply reached Creativity is the result of playing with this toy FS: Who did you collaborate with for this design? Did you work with people with technical / specialized skills? SE: I love that people have to be able to get help from them or cooperate But there's a new way for most people is terrible FS: What is the role of technology in this particular design? SE: Technology does not have any role in the design components FS: Is your design influenced by data or analytical research in any way? What kind of research did you conduct for making this design? SE: I got help from a mathematics and geometry; Part of the work by trial and error; Finally I made a prototype of it FS: What are some of the challenges you faced during the design/realization of your concept? SE: How to connect the pieces without any technology and ease of use of the toy was big challenge for me. FS: How did you decide to submit your design to an international design competition? SE: I think what I'm different to say. I want my designs to be seen FS: What did you learn or how did you improve yourself during the designing of this work? SE: I think design is like learning I learned this design can also be present. And I brought it into existence
