Home > Winners > Design #46744 >Interview
Editor Frank Scott (FS) from DesignPRWire has interviewed designer Rafaela Luís (RL) for A' Design Awards and Competition. You can access the full profile of Rafaela Luís by clicking here. Access more information about the award winning design Marilyn Two Seat here.

Interview with Rafaela Luís at Monday 29th of February 2016

FS: What is the main principle, idea and inspiration behind your design?
RL: What has inspired me is a dream to combine design and glamour. I want to create furniture with soul, therefore I get my inspirations from exceptional artists endowed with charm and strong personality. My main challenge is to transform meaningless interiors into special places. Where every curve and dash of my pieces will help the user to establish an emotional connection with the surrounding.

FS: What are your future plans for this award winning design?
RL: Sell it in my brand Kalira Design and make her focus from attention and desire into the interior world.

FS: How long did it take you to design this particular concept?
RL: This particular concept started on July of 2015, when I started my own company Kalira Design, until January of 2016.

FS: What made you design this particular type of work?
RL: I always believed that the furniture needs soul and passion, therefore I get my inspirations from exceptional artists endowed with charm and strong personality. My main challenge is to transform meaningless interiors into special places. Where every curve and dash of my pieces will help the user to establish an emotional connection with the surrounding.

FS: Thank you for providing us with this opportunity to interview you.
