Gd: flatpack FS: What has been your main focus in designing this work? Especially what did you want to achieve? Gd: To make a interesting graphical and minimalistic bookcase, with thin open frames. FS: What are your future plans for this award winning design? Gd: To find an appropriate design label, who wishes to place this design on the market FS: How long did it take you to design this particular concept? Gd: one year FS: Why did you design this particular concept? Was this design commissioned or did you decide to pursuit an inspiration? Gd: I wanted to make a former design (Frames 2.0) more minimal and thinner. FS: Is your design being produced or used by another company, or do you plan to sell or lease the production rights or do you intent to produce your work yourself? Gd: people who loves minimal design FS: What sets this design apart from other similar or resembling concepts? Gd: it's a minimal approach of a bookcase/bookshelf FS: How did you come up with the name for this design? What does it mean? Gd: The bookcase is made up of frames FS: Which design tools did you use when you were working on this project? Gd: drawing, making models, computer, making prototypes FS: What is the most unique aspect of your design? Gd: The shelves are open and it is a flatpack FS: Is your design influenced by data or analytical research in any way? What kind of research did you conduct for making this design? Gd: to make a interesting and functional composition out of thin open frames FS: What are some of the challenges you faced during the design/realization of your concept? Gd: to keep it minimal and thin FS: How did you decide to submit your design to an international design competition? Gd: I was asked by the organization to submit my design
