FS: What is the main principle, idea and inspiration behind your design?
JR: Expressing fold through the dynamism of multiple events and spaces that without losing alticulates event conrinuidad around drinking coffee.
FS: What has been your main focus in designing this work? Especially what did you want to achieve?
JR: My goal is to enhance and stylize the coffee drinking everyday event with a contemporary exprecion Caribbean. And I want to achieve a set of dishes mercadiable and accessible to every coffee lover.
FS: What are your future plans for this award winning design?
JR: Achieving market it worldwide and to represent my country in different design contests.
FS: How long did it take you to design this particular concept?
JR: One year.
FS: Why did you design this particular concept? Was this design commissioned or did you decide to pursuit an inspiration?
JR: It arises from the initiative of a group that decided to design some objects for the purpose of promoting industrial design on the island of Puerto Rico.
FS: Is your design being produced or used by another company, or do you plan to sell or lease the production rights or do you intent to produce your work yourself?
JR: The design is of my authorship and produced jurisdiction of Puerto Rico. The product has not been utilisado by any company at the moment. I am willing to negotiate.
FS: What made you design this particular type of work?
JR: I think what is particularly formal response and consistency of language aquitectonico.
FS: Where there any other designs and/or designers that helped the influence the design of your work?
JR: Yeah, I'm surrounded by friends who love design and all in some way or another have contributed to the process.
FS: Who is the target customer for his design?
JR: A sophisticated coffee drinker willing to experiment and enjoy the event. This is the mug to toast with coffee ... lol
FS: What sets this design apart from other similar or resembling concepts?
JR: Its clarity and strength in the formal expression.
FS: How did you come up with the name for this design? What does it mean?
JR: LOA Coffee Cup? It arises from the name of my wife also Loami and also architect of the Other Architecture not we live but we experience travez of the other senses.
FS: Which design tools did you use when you were working on this project?
JR: In scale model and soon digital model.
FS: What is the most unique aspect of your design?
JR: Simple and very feminine character.
FS: Who did you collaborate with for this design? Did you work with people with technical / specialized skills?
JR: Yes
FS: What is the role of technology in this particular design?
JR: Very important. First we made a demo and immediately started using different programs 3d three dimensional and multi-use printers.
FS: Is your design influenced by data or analytical research in any way? What kind of research did you conduct for making this design?
JR: Find out how different cultures interpret the coffee cup as an object of design.
FS: What are some of the challenges you faced during the design/realization of your concept?
JR: Definitely achieve manufacturing.
FS: How did you decide to submit your design to an international design competition?
JR: In Puerto Rico greatly underestimated architecture and emergent design. And I want to be part of the difference leaving insularista atraz predominant thought.
FS: What did you learn or how did you improve yourself during the designing of this work?
JR: Every day! ... collecting expressions of different users.
FS: Any other things you would like to cover that have not been covered in these questions?
JR: I think it is a very feminine object ... both strong and delicate.
