DESIGN NAME: LOA Coffe Cup
PRIMARY FUNCTION: Drink coffee and saucer
INSPIRATION: Definitely the effect of light on the work of Spanish architects Sanchez and Madridejos.
UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The oportunity to design a cup provides the possibility to inspire and individual from the intimacy of their own home.
Home, work and leisure are the three principal moments which are transformed by the act of drinking coffee. Drinking a cup of coffee provides an escape, pause which can define the beginning of a day, the pretext for a date and even announce the end of a lunch, without forgetting that for some its the beginning of a work day or a day of study. These events represent multiple activities that define the dynamic act in a spacial and programed environment. With the design of a coffee cup we attemp to express its dynamics via a triangular morphology accenting its corners and comparing these connecting points with home, work and leisure.Through the formal act, "the fold" articulates, without losing the notion of continuity, which occurs when we decide to include a cup of coffee as part of our daily routines.
OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: Despite being an object that responds to individual use exprecion claims an individualist ... the disposition of all proposed a group activity and sharing. This set has the potential of becoming a centerpiece of conversation piece.
