Interview with Kathy Roessner at Tuesday 18th of December 2012 FS: What is the main principle, idea and inspiration behind your design? KR: We wanted to achieve a strong sense of the JOURNEY so we went with a strong travel theme. From the license plate to travel illustrations to the format of the invitation as a map. FS: How long did it take you to design this particular concept? KR: From concept to layout and production, the total time was approximately 2 months. FS: Who is the target customer for his design? KR: The target audience is the Quicken Loans employees. FS: How did you come up with the name for this design? What does it mean? KR: JRNE was used on the licencse plate of the invitation and was so named to signify the journey that Quicken Loans has experienced over the course of their existence. FS: Which design tools did you use when you were working on this project? KR: We used the Adobe suite of products: Illustrator, InDesign and Photoshop. FS: Who did you collaborate with for this design? Did you work with people with technical / specialized skills? KR: We used experienced Illustrators for the various travel themed vignettes.
