Interview with Anna Muratova at Monday 1st of July 2024 FS: What is the main principle, idea and inspiration behind your design? AM: The design for the app was inspired by nature and plants, so the color palette consists of different tones of green. There are many photos of plants in the app, and elements in the interface have rounded corners to convey a calm and peaceful atmosphere. FS: What has been your main focus in designing this work? Especially what did you want to achieve? AM: The main focus of the app is to provide an easy experience for people who want to care for their plants. It offers guidance on how and when to plant specific plants, optimal growing conditions, and includes reminders for watering plants. FS: How long did it take you to design this particular concept? AM: The design of the concept took one month. FS: Why did you design this particular concept? Was this design commissioned or did you decide to pursuit an inspiration? AM: The design was inspired by an appreciation for nature and a desire to create an app that helps people care for their plants more effectively. FS: What made you design this particular type of work? AM: I enjoy spending time in nature and caring for plants. My goal was to create an app that consolidates information about planting and plant care in one place. I was inspired to create easy-to-use app, especially for those who are less familiar with plants. Whether users are beginners or more experienced, this app can help them improve their plant care skills. FS: Who is the target customer for his design? AM: The app is designed for young people who are eager to learn how to grow plants. FS: How did you come up with the name for this design? What does it mean? AM: I came up with the name "Plant Planner" for this design to reflect its purpose: the app helps users with planning the best times for planting and reminding them when to water their plants. The name signifies that the app serves as a tool for organizing and managing plant care schedules effectively. FS: Which design tools did you use when you were working on this project? AM: The design was made in Adobe XD.
