Creating an Emotional Institution
When you create organizations and institutions, it is also important to embed emotions within; and it is our founding ambition, our mission to make the world better with good design, and thus the ultimate aim is all about creating a better world; the “Recompense for Good Deeds” program is perfectly aligned with our mission and vision as it allows us to thank people who make the world a better place, with their good deeds, by supporting them for their design award participation by means of digital nomination tickets.
Remarkable Policies
We have this policy mainly because when we created the A’ Design Award, at the very beginning we wished to institutionalize the accolade to ensure high sustained standards and quality; we want to ensure the awards can withstand the test of time, thus we implemented series of bureaucratic procedures, guidelines and technologies that make sure our processes are repeatable, with similar or better results and thus be dependable and satisfy the expected quality parameters year after year; however as the design competition grow bigger and larger; we noticed that we also have to implement emotional elements, ideas, philosophy and the philanthropic and generous way of thinking to our procedures so that we could not just create a living institution but create a living institution that is good in its core; an institution that has the procedures and bylaws to do good with people, such as responding in kind to good deeds, showing forgiveness, respect and love to all designers, to our world, to our society and to all people and of course also to have an unsatisfiable need to create value. “Recompense for Good Deeds” is one such programs; is one of our procedures that is designed to make us better by enabling our institution to have and respond to positive emotions.
Do Good by Good Design
To take part in “Recompense for Good Deeds” programme, one needs to make a good deed that goes unnoticed. This could be a deed done by you or your friend; you may suggest yourself or your friend to be considered within this program. This cannot be a famous person, but it could be your teacher, boss, mentor, student, apprentice; the referred person must have a personal connection to you. When you have this ready - that is if you know someone that is really good, selfless, and someone who went above and beyond to do goo, all you need to do is fill this form here, sign and send back to our support. We will consider the deeds on a case-by-case basis. There may be a yearly limit of free digital tickets that we distribute each year within this programme, but we will do our best to reply in kind to the kindness.
For Greater Good
Please kindly note that not all deeds are equal, we are sorry to write it even here that we even get bad behaviour noted as good deeds in our forms, and sometimes we get forms that more or less state what is normally expected from decent people being noted as good deeds, considering all these, and the amount of letters we receive, we hope you understand and agree that we will decide what we shall consider as good deeds ourselves at our sole discretion and we will not under any circumstance be obliged to explain our rationale behind rejecting or rewarding any good deeds, and we also beg to ask you not to harass our staff for complimentary digital tickets for your deeds may or may not be deemed good, as doing so would defeat the very purpose of our program to do good by good design.
When you win the A' Design Prize, you are trully a winner, without making any "Further Fees" or obligatory payments. Join the A' Design Awards, as it respects, loves and cares for you.
