A' International Design Award and Competition is pleased to announce that the project Steel City by Director: Markus Pargfrieder, Spatial Experience Developer: Katharina Mayrhofer, Interface Engineer: Julian Reil and Spatial Experience Designer: Martin Zeplichal won the famed Silver A' Design Award in Interface, Interaction and User Experience Design Category picked as the winner by the transnational jury members of the A' Design Awards & Competitions within a great number of participants.

Regarding Steel City

Responsive Spaces, the creative mind behind the winning work Steel City explains “The Steel City is a stylized model depicting the steelworks of the future. It consists of semi-transparent acrylic models placed on a led-wall, which serves as a screen for demonstrating various use-cases by literally making the Steel City glow: when selecting one of the scenarios at the terminals, users trigger animations which visualize the processes and work-flows of the steel plant in a firework of light and color projected through the acrylic models on top.
