Torgeir Stige, the creator of the award winning street furniture design work Sandane says “Table tennis is a space-efficient and accessible game compared to a lot of sports. The equipment needed is cheap and the game is easy to learn and equally hard to master. The perfect urban activity. The project aims to honor the game of table tennis with a sculptural table, made for the urban environment. A strict frame is made from minimalistic plates of steel, painted with dark reflective paint. A chain of wooden spheres works as a crossbeam.
