Gaku Takasu, the lead designer of the winning project Milk explains “An utterly novel light fixture achieved by applying an extremely simple processing technique to stainless steel mesh. By painstakingly hand-bending the stainless steel mesh the design team was able to add significant flexibility to the metal. The resulting material looks and feels closer to paper than metal. By fashioning the fixture into the shape of a Tetra Pak, the global standard milk carton, and naming it Milk, the design team created a charming item easily recognizable by people of all ages and nationalities. ” To learn more visit at: https://competition.adesignaward.com/design.php?ID=84455
