Hyojin Yoo & Nupur Mathur, the designer of the award winning project Sound Circles Taiwan says “The work preserves and records a pivotal moment in 2018 Taiwan and Asia’s queer history in which Taiwan could become the first country in Asia to legalize same-sex marriage. Through audio interviews with individuals living in Taipei and a collection of ambient recordings, the artists Artist collaborators Hyojin Yoo and Nupur Mathur created two hand-woven sound embedded circular textile installation that works as speakers.
