Vadim Kibardin, the lead designer of the winning work Black Paper explains “The armchair is made of 37 paper layers and 28 details of gofer cardboard. The functional surface is formed by putting paper layers one by one to achive the required height on the chair. Simple paper not only possesses high constructional characteristics but can also dazzle through the beauty of its contours. A distinctive texture of the chairs overlay encourages a dialog with a user.
